How to choose CAT and MBA entrance coaching in Navi Mumbai: 8 questions to ask any institute

Brand names and big result banners tell you little. These eight questions show how an institute teaches, tests and supports you. Ask them everywhere, including at Dakshita.

Key takeaways
  • Ask how mocks are reviewed, not just how many there are.
  • Ask for result claims with the batch they came from, so you can see the proportion.
  • Attend a demo class and watch how doubts are handled.
  • Do the commute test before you enrol.
  • We run a coaching class, so we benefit if you choose us. Use the same questions on us.
Quick answer

Judge an institute by how it teaches, tests and handles doubts. Attend a demo class, ask the eight questions below, and compare at least two places. The right answer to most of these is a specific process, not a promise.

Disclosure: we run Karwa’s Dakshita Academy in Kharghar, so we benefit if you choose us. Ask us these same questions.

Why these matter

Coaching does three things: it organises your syllabus, it gives you realistic tests, and it shows you where you lose marks. Questions 2 and 4 test the last point. Many institutes sell mocks and few turn them into learning. How to analyse a mock shows what a good review looks like.

Do the commute test

Navi Mumbai is long and thin. Kharghar, Belapur, Nerul and Panvel are all on the Harbour line, but a bad commute still kills attendance by month two. Before you pay, make the journey twice at the time your class would run. If it costs more than you can sustain, ask about weekend batches or online options.

Where this doesn’t apply

Where this doesn't apply

If you are self-studying well and only need mocks, you may not need a full course. A mock series with good analysis can be enough. Coaching also cannot replace daily practice. We have not tracked and do not quote a success rate for coaching in general.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Visit more than one, attend a demo class at each, and ask the same questions: who teaches, how mocks are reviewed, how doubts are handled, and what the batch looks like. Choose on how they teach and test, not on the size of their banner.

It depends on how you study. Classroom suits people who need routine and face-to-face doubt clearing. Online suits long commutes or irregular schedules. Judge any format by how mocks are reviewed and doubts resolved.

Ask for the names, the exam year, and the size of the batch they came from. A few top scores from a large batch tell you less than how the middle of the batch performed.

Distance matters because you will travel there for months. But do the commute test first: take the trip twice at class time before you pay.
